How to Measure Progress in JTBD

I'm trying to figure out how to provide free commenting on this site instead of requiring a $2 monthly charge. Until I do, use the promo code JTBD to get a free month.

I can see the value in a subscription because it will keep spammers and trolls out of the community. But, this thing is just starting, so I really don't want to create friction before some form of value is established.
